A south Manchester man has been charged in connection with a crash in Cheshire that left a woman fighting for her life.
Officers were called out to a collision Church Lane in Henbury, near Macclesfield, at 5.06pm on Sunday (April 20).
Cheshire Police says the crash involved a silver Audi A3 and a white Dacia Sandero.
It is alleged that the Audi collided with a tree following the initial collision.
Cheshire Police says a 28-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the Audi, was taken to hospital with serious injuries which are believed to be life-threatening.
The force says two boys, aged two and six, and a five-year-old girl who were also passengers in the Audi were taken to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Audi, a 29-year-old man, and three occupants in the Dacia all suffered minor injuries, Cheshire Police says.
Rhys Farry, 29, of Weller Avenue, Chorlton, has since been arrested and charged with four counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving without insurance and driving without a licence.
Cheshire Police says enquiries into the collision are ongoing and witnesses are being urged to come forward.
Anyone who has relevant CCTV or dashcam footage is also asked to contact police.
Information can be passed on by calling Cheshire Police on 101 or reporting it on the force’s website, quoting 25000321003.
