Duchess of Edinburgh’s diplomatic dressing mastery on Canadian tour
The Duchess of Edinburgh brought her signature elegance to Alberta on Sunday as she attended the vice regal conference reception at the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald during her official visit to Canada.
Sophie wore a recycled favorite the Beulah ‘Siena’ dress a romantic mid length number featuring oversized puff sleeves and a floaty skirt that moved as she greeted guests.
She completed the look with a chic updo, fresh pink lip gloss, and cool toned eyeshadow, with a sweep of bronzer lending her complexion a radiant, sun kissed finish.
“The Duchess of Edinburgh continues to master the art of diplomatic dressing with effortless grace,” luxury stylist Angela Kyte told us.
“The dress’s navy base provides a refined backdrop for its vivid floral print, while the structured bodice and soft pleating offer both polish and femininity.
The puffed sleeves and belted waist enhance the silhouette, exuding quiet elegance without overshadowing the occasion.”
Her accessories were equally considered. Diamond earrings with an organic, leaf-like design and a gold ‘Leaves’ bracelet by Giulia Barela echoed the floral theme of the gown, tying the ensemble together with subtle sophistication.
“The botanical details give the look a cohesive, curated finish,” she added.
The evening prior, she brought a darker, dramatic edge to dinner celebrations for the 50th anniversary of Spruce Meadows, Calgary’s famed sporting and entertainment complex.
For the occasion, she wore Erdem’s ‘Floral Gathered Midi Dress,’ a black piece uplifted by vibrant blooms in red, pink and yellow across its bodice and flowing skirt.
