Letterkenny Golf Club were crowned Ulster Champions at the weekend when their Ulster Cup team brought home a massive 4½ – 3½ win over Killymoon.

Surprisingly, this was Letterkenny’s first Ulster Cup title in 13 years – a huge moment for the club and one that won’t be forgotten anytime soon.

Along the way, there were big wins from Mark P. McNulty, Keith Shields, Tommy Dempsey, and Declan Burke, with Darragh Heaney grabbing the all-important half point that clinched the title.

It wasn’t all smooth sailing, however, as rain stopped play for over an hour, adding to the drama, but the lads held their nerve.

This victory didn’t come overnight — countless away-day practice rounds and some tough decisions by the captain along the way all paid off when it mattered most.
