In images captured by the Glasgow Times from the scene on Tuesday, September 8, officers could be seen still guarding the area.
The busy street, located near Sauchiehall Street, remained closed off while investigations took place.

(Image: Newsquest) According to cops, there is ‘no risk’ to the wider public; however, after cops were alerted to the incident, they were urging members of the public to ‘avoid the area’.
An investigation is underway. Meanwhile, Glasgow City Council revealed that Cambridge Street reopened at around 9.30pm.
Police also removed their cordon from the street shortly before 9am on Tuesday, September 9.
