Bucklebury Cricket Club made it six wins out of six when they took on Chris Tarrant’s Lord’s Taverners XI in a charity clash.
Cricket fans gathered at Douai Pavillion in Woolhampton for the annual match on Sunday, which sees familiar faces join forces to raise money for disadvantaged and disabled children.

The Taverners’ team, of which Chris Tarrant is the organisation’s captain, is comprised of sports, TV and radio stars including his presenter son Toby who broadcasts on Radio X.
With former England captain David Gower among the umpires, Chris Tarrant’s celebrity team – captained on the day by Toby – recorded 152-6, with grandson 10-year-old Harris bowling the first over and even taking a wicket.

But despite the strong start and appearances from the likes of former England cricketer Monty Panesar and former England international rugby union player Chris Sheasby, Bucklebury would run out eventual winners for the sixth year in a row.
Bucklebury cricketer Alex Bingley – who was himself ‘annoyingly’ bowled out by Panesar – said it had been a fantastic day made even better by another victory for his West Berkshire team.
He said: “Mr Tarrant’s 11 are yet to win.
“It’s becoming more of a standing joke as the time goes on.
“Chris thinks he’s 4-2 up in the series but they haven’t won yet!”
