Robbie Fowler has unveiled the results of his second hair transplant. The Liverpool FC legend first underwent the procedure in 2022 to restore his hairline.
The 49-year-old had a further transplant in 2024, which was carried out by Dr Bessam Farjo and Dr Nilofer Farjo at the Farjo Hair Institute. Speaking about the treatment, which was revealed today, Fowler said he is delighted with the results. The former number nine said: “Like many men, I began to notice my hair thinning after my career finished.
“I wanted to restore my hairline to how it looked when I was still playing, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Dr Farjo and his team have been fantastic – they really understand how important this is for confidence and presentation, especially when you’re still in the public eye.”
Fowler added: “I’ve been in the spotlight for most of my life and hair loss is something many men go through, whether they’re footballers or not.”

He added: “For me, this has been about looking and feeling my best. I’m delighted with the outcome and I’m glad I chose to go back to Dr Farjo and his team.”
Dr Farjo explained how Fowler’s most recent procedure focused on refining his hairline and adding density in areas where hair loss had continued to progress.
He added: “Hair loss does not happen evenly across the scalp – it progresses at different rates and in different areas.

“For many men, including Robbie, this means that while an initial transplant achieves the desired look, further procedures are sometimes required years later to maintain natural coverage as hair loss continues elsewhere.
“Robbie’s case is a classic example of how a series of well-planned surgeries can achieve long-lasting and natural-looking results.
