The latest Liverpool transfer rumours after this summer’s transfer window closed as Michael Olise is now another forward the Reds are credited with an interest inFlorian Wirtz is still adapting to the Premier League since signing for Liverpool earlier this summer(Image: Liverpool FC via Getty Images)
Liverpool broke the British transfer fee record for a second time this summer on 1 September when signing Alexander Isak from Newcastle United for £125million. That came not long after the £109million arrival of Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen.
Those deals came as part of a £446m spending spree from Arne Slot’s side as they look to defend their Premier League crown. Now, the Reds are being tipped to break the transfer record for a third time within 12 months.
Below, the ECHO looks at some of the latest Liverpool transfer news emerging online over the last 24 hours.

It would reportedly be ‘no great surprise’ if Liverpool were to make Bayern Munich a £138million offer for Michael Olise next year. Absolut Fussball claims it would also be equally unsurprising if City and Paris Saint-Germain were to do likewise.
They also state it is safe to assume that Real Madrid are watching the France international closely. There is an acknowledgement that next summer’s World Cup could cause the former Crystal Palace player’s market value to increase above its estimated £86million after Olise has already scored five goals across six matches for club and country thus far this season.

Wirtz verdict
Dietmar Hamann has described the first four performances in a Liverpool shirt from Florian Wirtz as “pretty average”. The former Reds midfielder told Sports Mole, “his confidence is obviously affected by the average start he’s had to his Liverpool career”.
Hamann continued: “He said in an interview that he might need a few more games. He shouldn’t need too many more.
“Still a young kid, but the start has not been good. You’ve got to give him the benefit of the doubt because the game is different in England.” Hamann, however, also said: “I’ve got no doubt whatsoever that he will succeed in England.”
