A section of Park Lane, Frampton Cotterell will shut for drainage work to prevent future flooding to take place.
The work will affect the section from the roads junction of Sunnyside and Clyde Road, where South Gloucestershire Council said a ‘collapsed culvert’ is causing flooding to properties.
An SGC spokesperson said: “Our workforce may not be visible as they will often be working in the back gardens of several properties, but need to safely manoeuvre plant and machinery along Park Lane.
“The short diversion route is via Sunnyside and Clyde Road. Access will be maintained for residents throughout this period.
“The bus company has also been made aware and provisions will be in place to ensure the service runs with minimal disruption.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
