Seething Celtic supporters have confirmed plans for a ‘bold, visual and vocal’ 12th man, 12 minute Rugby Park protest.

The Hoops return from the international break this weekend but will see sections of the travelling support in Ayrshire not enter the stadium until well after the first whistle.

Supporters are continuing to vent their fury about the board’s lack of ambition in the transfer market off the back of a disastrous window.

Celtic CEO Michael Nicholson met with members of the Celtic Supporters’ Association, Celtic Trust, Green Brigade and other leading fan groups to discuss their concerns.

In a lengthy statement, the Hoops claimed that remaining sustainable within UEFA’s financial restrictions mean they must take care before dipping into the massive cash reserves built up over several years of Champions League qualification.

But in response, fan groups have blasted Parkhead chiefs for failing to provide adequate answers to their questions, accusing their statement as ‘insulting’ and giving the board a vote of no confidence.

And in a joint statement with Bhoys Celtic, the Green Brigade have confirmed they will take action and released their plans.

Their statement read: “At Sunday’s match v Kilmarnock, Celtic’s 12th man will enter the stand on the 12th minute to remind the Celtic FC board that it exists.

“This bold, visual and vocal protest, follows the recent Open Letter signed by 420 signatories which the board has failed to respond to; and a consultation meeting with these signatories.

“As a collective of fans, we wish no detriment to the team but believe necessary steps must be taken to demonstrate our discontent and remind the board that “football is nothing without fans.”
