A driver is still on the run following a “high speed police chase” through the streets of Edinburgh.
Officers in an unmarked car were pursuing a Vauxhall Corsa on blue lights through Drylaw on Friday, April 18.
It is understood the chase came to an end when the speeding car parked up on a residential street and the driver fled on foot.
Police motorbikes and a helicopter were reportedly deployed to help trace them.
Officers were later seen searching the vehicle. A manhunt is still ongoing as of Tuesday, April 22, Police Scotland confirmed.

An eyewitness told Edinburgh Live: “An unmarked CID car was following a Vauxhall Corsa from the Shell Garage at Drylaw.
“They blue lighted the Corsa and the driver of the Corsa sped off and resulted in a high speed police chase.
“The unmarked police car collided with the Corsa which was parked causing vehicle damage.
“The driver escaped on foot and then a police helicopter was deployed.
“The escaped driver is still on the run and Police Scotland were doing door to door checks looking for the suspect in the street and asking for Ring doorbell footage.
“There were two police bikes and four police cars on the scene as they locked down the street at Drylaw trying to find the perpetrator.
“The Corsa was recovered for forensics to the police yard.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “Around 12pm on Friday, 18 April, 2025, a car failed to stop for officers on Crewe Road North, Edinburgh.
“Following a pursuit, the car stopped in Wester Drylaw Drive, Edinburgh.
“The occupant made off from the vehicle and enquiries are ongoing to trace them.”
