A woman has been arrested after a man was allegedly stabbed in Glasgow.
Officers from Police Scotland were alerted to the incident at Huntingtower Road in the Baillieston area of the city yesterday morning, Thursday, September 11, at around 7:30am.
The male victim was found to have suffered ‘serious injuries’ in the attack and was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
No more information is available on his condition at this stage. Police confirmed to the Record that a 49-year-old woman has been arrested in connection and their enquiries are ongoing.
Speaking to the Record a local man explained how police burst into the street yesterday morning as the area was full of parents taking their kids to school.
He said: “I was woken up as the emergency services arrived on the street in heavy numbers. There was at least six police vehicles and they quickly locked down the road at either side.
“There are three schools in this scheme so this street is usually very busy with traffic in the morning. But, it was chaos yesterday and police were diverting them a different way. This place seems to be getting worse for crime..
“The man seemed to be in a bad way when he was taken into the ambulance so I just hope he is going to be okay.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.30am on Thursday, 11 September, 2025, we were called to a report of a man seriously injured within a property on Huntingtower Road, Glasgow.
“Officers attended and he was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. A 49-year-old woman has been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing.”
