After years as a home from home for thousands, Feel Good Club has announced it will close its doors this September – but not without a heartfelt farewell. A three-day programme of events will celebrate the Feel Good Club legacy as one of Manchester’s most inclusive and welcoming spaces, a fitting farewell for a huge part of Manchester.

Located within Hilton House, the coffee shop, which will close its doors on September 23, offered ‘feel good vibes’ and was on a mission to ‘make you feel good’ following every visit. Whether you were a member of the LGBTQ+ community looking for community-friendly events to attend, or just someone in need of a proper coffee break, Feel Good Club has always been a safe and welcoming space.

Of course Feel Good Club being Feel Good Club, they’re not going down without a party, and from a mission to bring the community together, they’re putting on not one, but three community events to say a fond farewell to Manchester.

The Big Send-Off – 20th September, from 6:30pm

The centrepiece of the farewell is The Big Send-Off, a variety-style show filled with love, live music, drag, comedy and DJ sets. Performers include cult collective Queer As F*ck, drag icon Violet Blonde, queer comedian Ben Hodge, House of Spice mother Lucky Roy Singh with house members, and DJ sets from Girls Night Out’s Monopoly Phonic and Manchester legend DJ Paulette.

Guests can also contribute to a Memory Wall and share stories on stage, leaving their mark on the club one final time. Entry is Pay What You Feel, with all proceeds going directly to support the Feel Good Club team through the transition.

The Feel Good Club founders said: “It was important to honour the team during the closing celebration as they are the driving force behind everything that’s made Feel Good Club so loved. This final night is our thank-you to everyone who has been part of our journey – and a reminder that while these walls may be closing, the community isn’t going anywhere.”

Feel Good Friends – 22nd September (All Day)

A chance to celebrate connection. Guests can bring a friend and enjoy 2-for-1 hot drinks all day, in honour of one of the club’s founding aims: creating a safe and welcoming space for people to connect.
