A graffiti artist dubbed by the police as ‘the Salford Banksy’ was arrested after being chased by officers.
The PCs came across the man spray-painting a bridge on Agecroft Road during rush hour.
The man was ‘mid-artwork’ and was ‘detained after a short foot chase by PC Clarke who’s still recovering from a 10k earlier this week’ Greater Manchester Police’s Salford division said on their Facebook page.
They shared a picture of a dozen cans of spray-painted which they seized with the suspect remaining in custody.

“Officers will continue to be out and about for the evening on patrol in the Swinton & Pendlebury area dealing with local issues whilst Banksy thinks about working his magic on the wall of a cell, minus his multiple cans of spray paint.”
