The man was reported after he began ‘behaving disruptively’An easyJet plane
A man was kicked off an easyJet flight by police after he had ‘become disruptive’ on board. Officers in Dalaman boarded the aircraft on the runway after it landed in Turkey on Monday afternoon (April 21).
The airline confirmed the aircraft, which had departed from Liverpool John Lennon Airport, was met by police due to the passenger ‘behaving disruptively’ and said that staff ‘acted quickly and appropriately’.
An easyJet spokesperson said: “Flight EZY3409 from Liverpool to Dalaman yesterday was met by police upon arrival in Turkey due to a passenger behaving disruptively onboard.
“easyJet’s cabin crew are trained to assess and evaluate all situations and acted quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers was not compromised at any time.
“While such incidents are rare we take them very seriously and do not tolerate disruptive behaviour. The safety and wellbeing of our customers and crew is always easyJet’s priority.”
A family from Manchester, who flew from Liverpool Airport, said they were waiting on board for around 30 minutes after landing in Dalaman and that a number of officers began taking statements from other passengers, the MEN reports.
“The police were waiting for him at Dalaman,” they said. “We were kept on the plane for about half an hour after landing while the police took statements.”
