The Edinburgh 900 celebrations drew to a close today with the People’s Procession from The Scottish Parliament up the Royal Mile to the Mercat Cross.
The Edinburgh 900 procession was led by Grant ‘Grand Marshall’ Stott and included the 900 Parade Pipe band and the Glencorse Pipe Band along with MPs and MSPs for Edinburgh and the Lothians, City of Edinburgh Councillors and Lord Lyon Court Officers of Arms
The Society of High Constables of Edinburgh wearing their new red waistcoats accompanied the procession along with The High Constabulary of the Port of Leith who wear gold waistcoats.
