Armed police have been spotted in the heart of Stockbridge by worried locals.
The shocking events happened in front of locals in the normally subdued neighbourhood.
In an image taken from the scene, officers wearing helmets and stab proof vests, had appeared to place two young males in handcuffs on the corner of Hector’s Bar.
It is not yet known the exact nature for the serious response at this time though the incident happened in broad daylight.
Three armed response officers were spotted in attendance at the Deanhaugh Street incident on Saturday September 13 at around 5pm.
They were joined by three officers wearing high-vis vests and blue gloves who appear to be speaking to a young male with a bloodied face.

The two males are stood against a wall at the junction entrance to St Bernard’s Row.
Edinburgh has been at the heart of gang related violence in recent weeks though there is nothing to suggest that the response is linked to those events.
Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
