St Michael’s Church of England Primary School received praise in a Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) report, conducted before the summer holidays.
The report highlighted the school’s successful adherence to its Christian foundation, noting how it “enabling pupils and adults to flourish.”
Inspectors found that the school’s Christian vision is a central “golden thread” that inspires and unites all aspects of the institution.
The school’s “transformational leadership” has, according to the inspectors, grown St Michael’s into an “exemplary Church school” where the vision and values are fully embraced by pupils and adults alike.
This vision is said to “shape an inclusive and engaging curriculum tailored to the needs of pupils, developing a love of learning and broadening their horizons.”
The report praised the “ambitious and caring leaders” at St Michael’s for their commitment to the school and their focus on well-being.

The SIAMS report states this creates “an environment where pupils and adults are highly valued, supported, and believed in.”
Staff morale was described as “high,” with staff supported both personally and professionally.
The inspection team also noted a strong sense of responsibility within the school, with opportunities for pupils to serve as eco-warriors or school councillors.
Executive headteacher, Mrs Michele Lewis, and head of school, Mrs Alison Chambers, said: “We could not be prouder of this report.
“We will continue to strive to improve in all areas on behalf of our children.”
