Iberia Airlines has released its anticipated Winter 2025/26 flight programme, effective from 26 October 2025 through 28 March 2026, establishing a pronounced extension of both long-haul and short-haul services. The revised timetable encompasses newly introduced points in North America, Latin America, and Europe, accompanied by amplified frequencies on existing services. Such developments are aligned with the carrier’s ongoing Flight Plan 2030, which centres on reinforcing its stature as a principal transatlantic gateway with a particular focus on the Madrid connector.

Within the long-haul segment, the eminent highlight is the debut of a non-stop link to Orlando, Florida, effective 26 October 2025. The Madrid–Orlando service will be scheduled for four weekly frequencies, deployed with the Airbus A330-300. The Orlando market, recognised for its family-oriented profile and dominance of theme parks, is projected to attract a rising number of Spanish and broader European customers drawn to premier venues including the Walt Disney and Universal Studios resorts.

Beginning in December 2025, Iberia will expand its Brazilian offerings by introducing service to Recife and Fortaleza, two dynamic destinations gaining traction among European travellers. On December 13, 2025, the airline will launch three weekly Airbus A321XLR rotations to Recife, celebrated for its sweeping beaches, year-round cultural festivals, and a colonial historic core. Fortaleza will follow, commencing on January 19, 2026, with the same three-per-week schedule. Renowned for its expansive coast, vibrant carnivals and the nearby Jericoacoara National Park, Fortaleza appeals to tourists seeking both leisure and active pursuits.

Expanded Frequencies to North America and Latin America

At the same time, Iberia will enhance its North American schedule to consolidate ties with the region. Daily year-round service to New York will now operate twice daily, boosting year-round options for business and leisure traffic. Flights to Boston are set to double, allowing for as many two daily rotations, while service to Washington, D.C. will increase to three weekly departures, formalising the city as a year-round destination.

Iberia is significantly enlarging its presence in Latin America through heightened frequency on strategic routes. Santo Domingo will receive attractive double-daily frequencies, effectively doubling lift into the Dominican Republic, while San Juan will be amplified to 14 weekly flights, enhancing connectivity to Puerto Rico. Notably, popular Rio de Janeiro will be the recipient of added daily flights throughout February’s Carnival period, catering to its reputation as one of the world’s primary Carnival destinations. Santiago de Chile will operate at 12 weekly frequencies, affording additional capacity to business and leisure passengers alike; parallel enhancements will affix 14 weekly flights to Lima, consolidating Peru as a well-connected gateway within the region.

Iberia simultaneously consolidates its foothold on Europe’s short-haul segment. Current schedule modifications will expand frequencies to Amsterdam to 16 weekly flights, while Rome will be heightened to 44 weekly flights. Paris will receive 11 daily flights during peak travel periods, broadening the airline’s offering to passengers seeking visits to Western Europe’s leading cultural and economic centres. To coincide with the winter travel period, schedule adjustments will add two weekly frequencies to Vienna and one additional weekly frequency to Geneva. The adjustments will provide attractive options commercially and will support the growing leisure demand for winter activity in the Alpine region during the ski season and access to the continent’s renowned Christmas markets.

Seasonal Routes to Popular Destinations

Iberia has reinstated its much-anticipated seasonal services for the upcoming winter season. Routes to Innsbruck, Tromsø, and Rovaniemi are prominently displayed in the carrier’s winter timetable, affording visitors the opportunity to engage in Christmas markets, Northern Lights excursions, and a broad range of winter leisure pursuits. These services have been specifically crafted to cater to passengers whose holiday preferences centre on the European winter.

In parallel, the airline is extending its principal summer provision, with added departures to Dubrovnik, Zagreb, and Funchal. These programmes have been extended to operate through November, with services scheduled to resume in March 2026. Each of these cities is distinguished by its picturesque shorelines, Mediterranean ambience, and rich architectural heritage, offering a serene escape ideal for the shoulder-season traveller.

Technology and Fleet Expansion

Iberia anticipates reliance on a fleet of around 90 aircraft for the forthcoming Winter 2025/26 timetable, a significant proportion of which will comprise the latest Boeing 737 MAX 8 variant. The added efficiency and diminished emissions of these airframes are congruent with the airline’s broader objective of a sustainable carbon-reduction pathway.

Complementing the fleet strategy, a systematic digital evolution remains central to Iberia’s outlook.
