Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is among the favourites to be the next Premier League manager to lose his job, according to bookmakers.
Just four games into the season, Nottingham Forest became the first club of the campaign to make a change in the managerial seat. Nuno Espirito Santo has been replaced by former Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou.
There is now talk over who the second manager to lose his job will be. Following the 3-0 loss against Man City over the weekend, Amorim’s name has been mentioned.
While there is external pressure on Amorim ahead of the game, MEN understands that he retains the support of the club’s hierarchy.
The Portuguese boss’s eyes will now be on next weekend’s Premier League clash against Chelsea at Old Trafford. While the Blues are in Champions League action this week, United have a full week to prepare for the match.
However, bookmakers Betfair have Amorim as the second favourite to be the next Premier League manager to leave their role with odds of 5/2. He is behind only West Ham boss Graham Potter, who is the odds-on favourite at 10/11.
Like United, the Hammers have had a disappointing start to the new season, the team sit in 18th place in the table, having won one and lost three of their four games so far. West Ham fell to a 3-0 home defeat against London rivals Tottenham on Saturday afternoon.
The third favourite, behind Amorim, is Wolves boss Vitor Pereira with odds of 9/2. Wolves are the only team yet to pick up a point so far this season, having lost all four of their opening games.
Next manager sacked odds:
Graham Potter 10/11
Ruben Amorim 5/2
Vitor Pereira 9/2
Daniel Farke 7/1
Ange Postecoglou 10/1
