Residents have been evacuated from their homes as a fire broke out on the roof of a block of flats in Bristol.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Silcox Road, Hartcliffe after smoke was seen around 1pm today (Tuesday, September 16).
Photos taken at the scene show several police officers and fire engines outside a housing block.
Fire crews confirm that smoke was billowing from the eights floor of the building.
A number of residents were evacuated from the building.

Fire fighters have extinguished the blaze.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
It is not thought that anyone has suffered any injuries.
A spokesperson for Avon Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called at 1:03pm to reports of smoke issuing on the 8th floor of a high-rise building made up of residential flats on Silcox Road, Hartcliffe.
“Firefighters have safely extinguished the fire. A number of people have been evacuated from the building.
“We’re pleased to confirm no one was injured during the incident.
“The cause of the fire is currently unknown.”
