A team from Dronfield-based financial planners, Belmayne, is limbering up for the forthcoming Sheffield 10K to raise funds for two local charities.
Eight members of the independent firm will be supporting the Belmayne Foundation by joining thousands of runners taking to the city’s streets on Sunday, September 28.
Since its inception in 2019, the Belmayne Foundation has donated more than £50,000 to small organisations who focus on improving health and wellbeing and providing relief to those in need. All money raised from the Sheffield 10K will be split equally between the firm’s two nominated charities for this year – 3rd Holmesfield Scout Group and the Just Good Friends Club.
Belmayne partner, Jon Stevens, is organising the event. He said:
“I’m thrilled so many of my colleagues have chosen to join me at this year’s Sheffield 10K and together, we are aiming to provide a real boost to our fundraising. We’re already in training for the event and we hope our friends, family, clients and colleagues will give generously to support our efforts!”
The Sheffield 10K is organised by Jane Tomlinson’s Run for All and sees participants start and finish on Arundel Gate in the heart of the city. The route stretches out along Ecclesall Road, looping around Endcliffe Park, before heading back to the centre.
