It’s been confirmed Leeds’ Christmas Market will return to the city on November 21, with Millennium Square once again being transformed into a winter wonderland.
More than 60 stalls, designed to look like chalets, will be put up on City Square selling festive gifts as well as treats like Bratwurst and Glühwein.
The Tipi bar will return to Victoria Gardens, with a 400 sq metre covered ice rink also being erected on Millennium Square.
An artisans market featuring independent traders will be sited on Bond Court, off Park Row.
The City Square market will close on December 21, although other attractions will remain open until New Year’s Eve.
Councillor Jonathan Pryor, Leeds City Council’s deputy leader, said: “Christmas in Leeds is always such a special time and seeing the city centre brought to life and filled with people enjoying all the best bits of the festive season is magical.”
“It’s also a huge time for our local economy, attracting hundreds of thousands of people to the city centre and creating a unique buzz for everyone visiting Leeds.
“We’re excited to be welcoming Christmas back to Leeds this November and hope this gives the whole city something to look forward to.”
