DOCTORS, train driver and architects graced the classrooms at a Kingshurst primary school.
Yorkswood Primary School celebrated the start of the new academic year with its first Ambition Day and saw children dress up as what they aspire to be when they grow up.
Throughout the day, children learned about inspirational figures such as Stephen Hawking and Malala Yousafzai, and listened to the journeys of teachers and guest speakers from different professions.
The children explored themes of resilience, determination, and the steps needed to achieve their goals.
Ryan Lawrence said: “As the newly appointed headteacher, I am incredibly proud to lead Yorkswood and to build a culture where ambition is central to everything we do.
“I want to instil this value in our community, inspiring children to dream big, work hard, and believe in themselves.
“Whether they are in nursery or year 6, every child at Yorkswood is encouraged to aim high and to see that their dreams for the future are possible.
“Ambition Day was the perfect way to start the school year, setting the tone for the learning, growth, and opportunities that lie ahead.”
