West Midlands Police are hunting a robber who hit a man from behind using a weapon in a brutal 3am attack.

The victim suffered head injuries when he was hurt by another man on Stirling Road, in Edgbaston, between 3am and 4am.

He also had cash, his phone, and designer jacket stolen.

No arrests have been made and inquiries continue.

Police are appealing for information.

In a statement, police said today, Wednesday, September 17: “We are appealing for information after a man was attacked and seriously injured in Edgbaston.

“A man was attacked from behind with a weapon by another man in Stirling Road, Edgbaston, between 3am and 4am on 25 July.

“The man suffered serious head injuries, and had cash, his phone, and designer jacket stolen.

“Since the incident, officers investigating have carried out several enquiries including CCTV, but despite these enquiries over a number of weeks we have been unable to identify who is involved.

“We are now appealing to anyone who was in the area that may have spotted anything suspicious, no matter how small.
