Insiders claim that Camilla, the Queen Consort, will “never forgive” Prince Harry for his “extremely unkind” comments about her in his explosive memoir, Spare. In the book, published in 2023, Harry portrayed his stepmother as ‘evil’ and ‘the villain’.

He also alleged that he and Prince William attempted to dissuade King Charles from marrying Camilla before their 2005 nuptials. The prince, who just celebrated his 41st birthday, has expressed a desire to mend fences with his family – but convincing the 77 year old Queen may prove more challenging.

An insider stated: “He has been extremely unkind to her in print and in word, and she doesn’t forgive easily.” The news emerged as the grief-stricken family rally round late Royal’s husband as they say goodbye at funeral.

Speaking to The Times, the source suggested that while some members of the Royal family might forgive Harry’s words, they won’t forget them.

They added: “The Royal Family make elephants look like they have short memories.”

In his memoir, first released in January 2023, Harry accused Camilla of playing the “long game, a campaign aimed at marriage and eventually the Crown”.

He wrote: “I have complex feelings about gaining a step-parent who I thought had recently sacrificed me on her personal p.r. altar.

Now, residing in America with Meghan Markle and their two children, the 41 year old prince also recounted his initial encounter with Camilla, likening it to an “injection.”

He penned: “Close your eyes and you won’t even feel it.”

Reports suggested that following the publication of Spare, Camilla was left feeling “hurt” by her stepson’s remarks – with the revelations also inflicting lasting damage on the Royal family.
