A four bedroom house in Essex that has gone on the market for £685,000 has been mercilessly mocked over its ‘Turkey teeth’ décor.

From the outside, the detached property in Rushton Grove, in Harlow, looks like a dream family home with its neatly manicured front garden and driveway leading up to a double garage.

Estate agent Fortune and Coates describe it as an ‘outstanding’ home and boast of its location being in a ‘prestigious and highly sought after’ area.

The listing gushes about the ‘glass balustrade stairs’ and says the lounge is ‘stylish and modern’.

It is described as being ‘absolutely stunning throughout’ and tells potential buyers that a ‘viewing is a must’.

Yet it has started to gain an unwanted notoriety for the current homeowners’ taste in décor with every room and furnishings a clinical white.

One room even has white chairs neatly tucked in around a white pool table, with a few grey and black appliances scattered throughout the home the only differing colour.

In a post on Reddit ruthlessly titled ‘My eyes hurt’, the home has been likened to ‘Liberace’s funeral parlour’.

‘The current owners 100% have a matching set of unaturally white ‘Turkey teeth’ dentures,’ one commenter quipped.

Another said it reminded them of 1990’s boy band East 17’s music video for Stay Another Day where Brian Harvey and his bandmates wore iconic white puffer coats.

‘White, spotlessly clean, feels overpriced; christ, I thought I’d accidentally ended up at the dentist for a second there. Ghastly,’ another wrote.

One person who definitely won’t be putting in a bid added: ‘I couldn’t live there, it feels like you’re looking at a clinically clean biolab or something.’

Others felt let down to find the garden had green grass, as one added: ‘Well, frankly.. I’m disappointed the garden hasn’t been given the whiteout treatment.’

While another Reddit user brutally said: ‘I bet they wake up each morning thinking they’re dead and gone to heaven.’

Others, though, thought the lack of colour could be a blessing in disguise.

As one person put it: ‘White blindness aside it’s a decent sized house with a good layout.

‘It wouldn’t take much to give it some personality and once you put all your own furniture it would look completely different.

‘It’s essentially a blank canvas and it’s much cheaper and easier to get rid of white than bright colours.’

The home is currently listed on Rightmove and shows that its guide price was reduced on March 25.
