Germany’s upcoming new away kit has been leaked in full form, and it is a design that has never been used on a Germany kit before.

The good people at Footy Headlines have leaked the design of the kit.

The kit is mainly a dark navy with a faint vertical zigzag pattern. The logos are in white, while the adidas stripes and other details are in mint. There are small applications dotted on the shirt. While the design motive is not known as of now, the overall scheme resembles falling snowflakes in a dark forest. Perhaps a nod to Germany’s many lush forests?

This is the first time navy and mint have been used in a Germany kit. However, recent kits have shown that Adidas is not afraid of shying away from tradition. Germany’s current pink and purple away kit, for one, caused quite a stir when it was released last year. Yet it ended up becoming one of the most popular kits in the German national team’s history.

According to Footy Headlines, the kit will be released next March, and will most likely debut in the March international break. Should Germany qualify for the World Cup (which is a big if as of now), it will be worn at the finals in North America next summer.

This also happens to be the last away kit made by Adidas before the national team changes its kit supplier to Nike. It is unknown whether the women’s team will also wear the new away kit, or whether they will stick with the one they released for the Euros this past summer for the time being.
