Two men have been arrested after a fight erupted on a residential street in Oldham.

Officers were called out to Horsedge Street, at the junction with Poppy Road, on Friday afternoon (September 19).

Greater Manchester Police says it responded to reports of two men fighting at the scene.

Both men were arrested on suspicion of affray, while one was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article.

No serious injuries were reported following the incident, GMP says.

Images from the scene showed multiple police cars, including an unmarked vehicle, in attendance at the junction of Horsedge Street and Poppy Road on Friday.

An officer was seen seizing a weapon, believed to be a knife, from the scene.

Both men remain were taken to police custody for questioning.
