A 47-year-old man is due to appear at court on Monday charged with killing Daniel Gardner

Police have named a man who tragically died after a house in Birmingham, as officers charged another man with murder.
Daniel Gardner, aged 37, died following the blaze at a property on Saxons Way in Highters Heath on Friday (September 19).
Emergency services attended the scene shortly before 1.10am, where Daniel was found seriously injured.

He was taken to hospital for further treatment but died a short time later.
Today (September 21), West Midlands Police has announced it has charged Stephen Dale, 47, with murder.
Dale will appear before city magistrates tomorrow morning (September 22) charged with killing Daniel Gardner.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We’ve charged a man with murder after another man was found dead following a house fire in Birmingham on Friday (21 Sep).
“Stephen Dale, aged 47, will appear before city magistrates tomorrow morning (Monday) charged with killing Daniel Gardner.
“We were called alongside fire and ambulance colleagues to the property on Saxons Way, Highters Heath, shortly before 1.10am on Friday.

“Daniel, aged 37, was found seriously injured and taken to hospital for treatment but tragically died a short time later.
