A motorcyclist in his 50s suffered multiple leg fractures and was left needing surgery after a car failed to stop at traffic lights in Bristol last month, police say.

The collision happened on Monday, March 10, sometime between 4pm and 4.30pm, at the junction between Whitehall Road and Gordon Road in the Whitehall area of Bristol.

It involved a motorbike and a car that has been described as a light blue or silver hatchback.

The driver of the car failed to stop, and did not remain at the scene after the crash.

The biker, a man in his 50s, was taken to Southmead Hospital for surgery, and has since been discharged to recover at home.

Investigating officers are seeking witnesses and dashcam footage that could help the investigation.

Avon and Somerset Police said: “CCTV and house-to-house enquiries have been carried out but we are keen to hear from any witnesses who have not yet come forward.
