Kate Middleton and Prince William were reportedly guests at a party thrown by her sister, Pippa Middleton, that had neighbors buzzing.
On Sept. 20, the Daily Mail reported that Princess Kate’s younger sister caused a commotion after throwing a wild 50th birthday party at home for her husband, hedge fund manager James Matthews.
The Daily Mail reported that Princess Kate and Prince William were thought to be guests at the event, which was also said to be attended by former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell-Horner, her husband former Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team principal Christian Horner, James’ brother Spencer Matthews and his wife Vogue Williams.
According to the outlet, the party’s theme was “racy,” connecting to James’ passion for motorsports. Pippa’s husband is a former British racing driver and a board member of the British F1 team Atlassian Williams Racing.

The house party was reportedly held last Saturday night at Pippa and James’ 145-acre estate in Berkshire, and the noise began that afternoon with a Spitfire (World War II-era fighter plane) display over their house, which dismayed locals who feared it would upset their dogs.
“I thought this might happen when Pippa moved in. People with money,” a local told the outlet.
Another said that the music from the party was thumping until 1:30 a.m.

Pippa, 42, and her husband, an Eton-educated financier, have lived at the private estate in West Berkshire since 2022, taking them close to William and Kate’s base at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor.
The Princess of Wales, 43, and her sister are known to be close, and Pippa has attended Princess Kate’s Together at Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey every year since its inception in 2021, alongside other members of the Middleton family.

When Pippa and James got engaged in 2016, a source told PEOPLE that they shared a “deep desire” to disappear from the spotlight in the long term and looked forward to “having children and leading a quiet life.”
The couple wed in 2017 and went on to welcome children Arthur, 6, and daughters Grace, 4, and Rose, 3, and lead a private life.
Pippa and James’ most recent public appearance was in July, when they stepped out to attend the Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone Circuit, where the Atlassian Williams Racing team was competing.
