Hollyoaks has aired an unexpected death, as Tommy Odenkirk’s stalker plot takes another shocking turn.
Tommy has continued to wreak havoc in Joel and Leela’s marriage, even manipulating an audio recording to convince Joel that Leela no longer loved him.
Furious by his wife’s apparent betrayal, Joel found comfort in his ex Cleo, and the pair fell into each other’s arms once again.
After spending the night together, in today’s episode Joel and Cleo snuck around and just about avoided being caught by Mercedes.

Joel returned home to a worried Leela and played her the audio recording. Leela was baffled and swore that she never said these hurtful things, but he didn’t believe her.
She decided to call the police on Tommy, but Joel urged her not to, saying that it would be him that gets in trouble. Backed into a corner, Joel was forced to tell Leela the truth about his relapse and the attack on Billy.
As Leela came to terms with this huge news, Tommy received a worrying phone that would change everything.

Leela was concerned about spending the rest of their lives under Tommy’s control and encouraged Joel to confess to the police.
With Joel ready to hand himself in, Leela confided in Mercedes – and Cleo briefly thought that she had found out about her night with her husband.
Cleo later found Joel outside, and the pair agreed that their one-night stand was a mistake and should stay a secret.

Leela went to the hospital to see Peri, but while there she saw Tommy, who was watching on in horror as the doctors tried to save his brother’s life.
She rushed to the police station and spotted Joel, who hadn’t yet confessed to attacking Billy. Leela changed her mind and urged him not to hand himself in, as Billy had died – so he would be charged with murder.
What will Joel do now?
