The latest Uniqlo store is to open at Cabot Circus, landlord Hammerson has announced. It will be the second flagship at one of the property giant’s malls (after Birmingham’s Bullring) with the Bristol location being a key destination for shoppers in South West England.

The store will open next month, just after the Bullring opening, in a prominent, gateway location at Cabot Circus. It will include 15,000 sq ft of tradable space across two floors with the brand’s popular women’s, men’s, and kidswear ranges to feature alongside the LifeWear label, available for the first time to customers in the region.

Why Cabot Circus? As mentioned, it’s a major regional destination with over 17 million visits a year and a catchment of 3.6 million+ people.

M&S will launch an 80,000 sq ft store there later this year following a £21 million investment. The mall is also boosting its leisure offering with an Odeon cinema due to open next year, joining new leisure offers such as King Pins Bowl and Treetop Golf.

Hammerson said that Uniqlo’s openings at Bullring and Cabot Circus “represent a continued flight to quality, with occupiers seeking highly productive and impactful stores in only the best locations with the strongest catchments”.

Alessandro Dudech, COO of Uniqlo UK said the retailer “remains committed to strengthening its presence within the UK retail sector by expanding both our physical store network and e-commerce capabilities nationwide”.
