An investigation is underway after two teenagers were stabbed in Birmingham.

West Midlands Police and paramedics were called to Highfield Road, Alum Rock, just before 5pm on Sunday, September 21, where they found an 17-year-old and an 18-year-old with knife wounds.

West Midlands Ambulance Service gave trauma care at the scene for ‘potentially serious injuries’ before the victims were transferred to hospital.

Their injuries were said to be non life-threatening.

Police appealed to anyone with information or CCTV to get in touch.

“We’re investigating after two teenagers were attacked in Alum Rock on Sunday.

“We were called to Highfield Road shortly before 5pm following a report that two people had been stabbed.

“On arrival, we discovered an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy had both sustained knife wounds.

“They were treated for their injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.”

West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of a stabbing on Highfield Road, Washwood Heath, at 4.39pm on Sunday.

“Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a trauma team responded to the scene.

“Crews arrived to find two male patients who had sustained potentially serious injuries.

“They received trauma care from ambulance staff before being conveyed to hospital for further emergency care.”
