All pizza is good pizza, but Pizza Pilgrims makes gooooooood pizza. Having built quite the following in London, the Neapolitan pizza specialists are heading to the West Midlands. Set to open their very first Birmingham pizzeria in one of the UK’s liveliest destinations, Grand Central, this is a huge step for Pizza Pilgrims.
The new 195m² site, due to open on Monday, November 3, boasts 114 seats and Pizza Pilgrims’ legendary 72-hour double-fermented dough. A custom-designed Stretch Ape banquet seating and interior details designed to transport you to bustling Napoli will also make this the ultimate slice-and-spritz stop in Birmingham.

Tuck into pillowy-crusted Margheritas, fan-favourite Double Pepperoni & Spicy Honey, quirky classics like the Carbonara pizza (yes, with real spaghetti), and the oozy, outrageous 8 Cheese pizza. Plus, alongside these seasoned classics, expect a menu that spotlights the ingredients of Napoli—including the Amalfi Coast pizza, Principessa pizza, and Burrata & Pesto pizza.

We are going to be right in the heart of the action in Grand Central – somewhere we have visited so many times on our numerous exploration trips. As you’d expect, Pizza Pilgrims’ focus is on using high-quality ingredients and staying true to Naples, with ‘00’ flour from the Caputo mill, DOP San Marzano tomatoes, and Campanian Fior di Latte mozzarella all sourced directly from Italy. Plus, you can support Pizza Pilgrims’ ‘Dip To Donate’ initiative, which donates 5p from every crust dipper sold to the Make A Wish foundation.
The Birmingham pizzeria will create 25 positions, including both front-of-house and back-of-house roles. The team will be led by local legend Danny Johnson, General Manager, who has just under 20 years of hospitality experience. Pizza Pilgrims Birmingham opens at Unit MK8, Grand Central, Stephenson Place, Birmingham B2 4BQ.
