The brand is about to open its first regional UK store outside the capital, in Leeds shortly after annoucning it will take a major step in its US ambitions by opening a new Ohio hub to facilitate its growing Stateside customer base.
Set to launch next month, the brand’s chosen the Redical-operated Victoria Leeds mall to open a 2,392 sq ft unit at the destination’s historic Victoria Quarter. It joins British heritage brands Barbour, Mulberry, and the recently launched Belstaff store at the centre.
The new Wax London store will deliver its signature range of “character-filled” men’s fashion that utilises a diverse range of fabrics, weaves, textures, patterns, and prints. It will also feature the brand’s footwear and accessories offer.
Roger Wightman, managing director at Wax London, said: “Our decision to launch outside of London for the first time is a major milestone for our brand, so it was crucial we partnered with a destination that fully reflects our values. Quality is key to us, and Victoria Leeds’s reputation and premium tenant mix perfectly encapsulate this.”
Rachel Bradburn, head of Leasing at Redical, added: “This aligns perfectly with our commitment to curating a best-in-class retail offering. Wax London will not only enhance our menswear offer but also introduce a fresh dynamic to our tenant mix.”
Meanwhile, Wax London said the launch of its new Columbus, Ohio, shipping hub “means faster delivery, free returns, and free shipping on orders over $100 for American customers”.
The new facility will also fulfil wholesale and marketplace orders, “significantly strengthening the brand’s presence in the US”, it said.
