A thriving community of more than 1,100 women motorcyclists from Bristol and the South West will gather this weekend for the official launch of the Bristol Biking Girls (BBG) 2026 Charity Calendar.
Founded in 2016 by Stephanie Robertson, Bristol Biking Girls has grown into one of the UK’s largest and most active female motorcycling communities.
The event, in aid of Air Ambulances UK, takes place on Saturday, September 27, at Fowlers of Bristol from 9.30am to 11.30am.
The calendar, which celebrates “empowerment, community, and giving back” has already sold more than 200 copies in pre-sales, with the first batch expected to sell out quickly.
Calendars will be available to purchase on the day and online, and all proceeds will support the vital work of air ambulance services.
BBG has set a fundraising target of £8,000, with money raised through calendar sales and related events going directly to Air Ambulances UK, a charity often relied upon by motorcyclists in critical emergencies.
Many BBG members have personal connections to the cause, having seen first-hand the difference air ambulances make.
Supported by more than 15 sponsors — including Held UK, Fowlers and Riders of Bristol, Helmet City Cheddar, Oily Rag, and Baffle Haus Cafés — the calendar is a collaboration between local and national businesses championing both road safety and female riders.
BBG committee member Beth Laker said: “This calendar is about more than just photos. It’s about community, empowerment, and giving back.
“Every page tells a story of women who ride, women who support one another, and women who want to make a real difference.”
Reflecting on the group’s roots, she added: “Bristol Biking Girls is more than just a riding group. It’s a family.
“We continue to ride, organise, and fundraise in memory of our founder, Steph, who sadly died in a road traffic collision in April 2022.
“BBG is her legacy, and everything we do is about honouring her vision for a supportive, inclusive community of women bikers.”
Following the calendar launch, members and supporters will participate in a Memorial Charity Ride in tribute to Steph and other bikers lost over the years.
The fully marshalled route is open to all riders and begins with a ride briefing at 11.45am, before departing at noon for Helmet City in Cheddar.
A £2 donation per bike will be collected, with every penny going to Air Ambulance UK.
Attendees can enjoy breakfast at Fowlers café, and at the ride’s end, free tea and coffee at Helmet City, along with a pizza truck lunch.
BBG welcomes both riders and non-riders to join the celebrations — either at Fowlers in the morning or at Helmet City for the afternoon finish.
The day promises community spirit, remembrance, and a chance to support a cause that truly saves lives.
