A man was rushed to hospital after he was attacked at a Birmingham Wetherspoon’s pub.
It happened at The Spread Eagle pub in Warwick Road, Acocks Green, yesterday, Thursday, September 25.
Emergency services called at around 10.45pm found a man in his 50s with serious head injuries.

He was treated at the scene before before being taken to hospital.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to an incident at a property on Warwick Road in Acocks Green in Birmingham at 11pm last night.
“And sent an ambulance and a Medical Emergency Response Incident Team trauma doctor with a critical care paramedic to the scene.
“On arrival, crews found a man in a serious condition and immediately administered specialist trauma care before conveying him to hospital.”

The pub remained cordoned off and shut to the public today while investigations continued.
A spokesman for Wetherspoon’s said: “The police forensic team is currently in the pub. The pub will remain closed while this work is being carried out.
“Our thoughts are with the gentleman who was attacked, and to his family and friends too.”

West Midlands Police confirmed it was investigating. A spokesman for the force said: “We’re investigating after a man was assaulted in Warwick Road, Acocks Green, at around 10.45pm yesterday.
“The man, in his 50s, has been taken to hospital with serious head injuries.
