UK shoppers have expressed their frustrations after complaining apps from both Ocado and Morrisons have gone down.

According to DownDetector therer have been 902 reports of the Ocado app being down since 5pm. For Morrisons, this number is 209. Dozens of customers have taken to social media to complain about the outage.

One said: “@Ocado is the app down? Holding my Christmas slot but says no food is available?” Another said: “@Ocado Your app isn’t working, neither is the website. Do you know when it will be fixed?”

Ocado is yet to repsond officially, only saying to users: “We are sorry to hear you are having issues.”

One user said: “You’re not answering your DM’s or calls! Just do a post stating that nobody can make orders so people know thanks.”

Morrisons customers are also complaining on X, with one saying: “@Morrisons is there a problem with your website? I’m currently unable to complete my shopping order”

Another said: “@Morrisons are you aware of issues with your app and website? Apparently everything I select is not available and this is the same for every aisle.”

Morrisons hasn’t appeared to respond to any of these complaints, leaving users frustrated.

This comes after the Ocado website was down two days ago. Hundreds of reports were sent to DownDetector. The brand apologised on X (formerly Twitter).

A spokesperson responded to one comment: “Hey, We’re so sorry you’re experiencing issues with our website right now. We understand how frustrating this can be, and we truly appreciate your patience.

“Our team is working hard to get everything back up and running smoothly. We’re hoping to have the site back online soon.”

The Express has contacted Ocado and Morrisons for comment.
