A woman who was wanted on recall to prison has been arrested following multiple shop thefts.

The 31-year-old was held by officers from the Willenhall neighbourhood team.

She has been taken into custody, police said.

In a statement, police said: “We’ve arrested a woman who was wanted on recall to prison following multiple shop thefts in the Willenhall area.

“The woman, aged 31, was arrested yesterday (Tues) by officers from our Willenhall neighbourhood team.

“She was taken into custody for recall to prison.”

Sergeant Paul Smith, from the Willenhall neighbourhood team, said the arrest was carried out by ‘two members from my team’.

He said the woman was wanted on recall to prison after ‘multiple shop thefts’.

Combatting shop thefts is a priority for Walsall LPA.
