Former gangster Paul Ferris is set to shed light on Scotland’s crime clans and beyond with a brand new podcast series.
Glasgow-born Ferris, 61, is set to launch his podcast called Here and Now in the coming weeks.
The former enforcer and convicted gunrunner has already lined up his first guest, Scots crime photographer Brian Anderson to talk about his book Shooting The Mob.
The podcast will feature guests from various backgrounds.
Ferris said: “Brian Anderson is the man who shot the mob.
“Other prominent guests could be from Scotland, England or elsewhere.
“It’s a 45-minute to an hour podcast with an intro on who the guest is and I’ll be doing the Q&A.”
Ferris, who is currently grieving over the death of his brother Billy, aged 75, added: “The podcast is at an advanced stage but I’ve been diverted due to personal issues just now.
“Due to the bereavement of my brother, some things have been delayed but we’re at an advanced stage. People can be a lot more comfortable with me. They know my background.”

He plans to invite American former mobster Michael Franzese onto his show, which will focus on life stories, but may also touch on the current gangland feud involving Scotland’s rival crime clans.
Ferris, who was convicted at the Old Bailey in 1988 of conspiracy to deal firearms and explosives, said: “There will be elements of people I can reach out to.
“I have already been asked to do a short documentary one about the boys in Dubai, but that’s a different project.
“There are issues where there are still outstanding judicial matters.
“YouTube has strict guidelines and you can be struck off.
“The rug can be pulled from under your feet.
“What we will be focussing with the podcast is the life stories of individuals rather than the recent scandal that is going on just now.
“But if they want a voice to explain what their position is, or maybe the family position, I’d look at the Scottish crime thing.

“But it would need to have approval from one side or another.
“I wouldn’t want to get somebody who would criticise the other and have a dispute online.
“Too many people are taking one side over the other. I am for neutrality in the current situation.

“I’ve been crime free for 23 years, so to jump out of one frying pan into the fire is not for me.”
His first guest, Anderson, 44, added: “Glasgow Eyes magazine is being relaunched which incorporates culture, photography and crime.
“I thought Paul would make a great cover for this issue and it ties in nicely with him doing his podcast.
“I’m looking forward to being his first guest.
“I’m sure his podcast will be a success. There will be a lot of interest.”
