Did you think Marvel’s Wolverine’s re-reveal trailer would be the goriest thing you’d see this week?
Well, it may take the crown, but Romeo Is a Dead Man is giving it a run for its money. The upcoming PS5 action game has received a short new trailer for the Tokyo Game Show, named ‘Extremely Bloody Action Buffet’.

To be honest, the trailer doesn’t reveal much new; we see a mix of the game’s melee and ranged combat, as well as a couple of boss fights, including one giant face leering over protagonist Romeo Stargazer.
Here’s how dev Grasshopper describes the game:
“Romeo switches between swords and guns to fight. Wipe out the waves of enemies that stand in your path to give birth to a new kind of bloody action, and take down the fearsome space-time criminals that await. Absorb the blood of your enemies to unleash Romeo’s special attack: Bloody Summer, capable of turning any situation around. Romeo’s various weapons can be strengthened and altered as the story moves forward as he takes on even stronger enemies.”
We caught up with director Suda51 earlier in the year, where we learned about how Morrissey has maintained his creative sharpness. You can read that through here.
There’s still no release date attached to Romeo Is a Dead Man, but it’s due out in 2026. Is this release on your radar at all? Let us know below.
