Liverpool’s Pier Head and Royal Albert Dock were centre stage during tonight’s episode of ITV’s You Bet! on Tour. Film crews and a number of famous faces appeared in key locations, putting locals to the test in order to win a cash prize.
The programme, hosted by Stephen Mulhern, sees a number of contestants test themselves for the chance to win £5,000 by performing extraordinary challenges in front of a panel of celebrity judges. Tonight, the episode was set in Liverpool and included several contestants from Merseyside.
The show featured Loose Women star Judi Love, comedian Johnny Vegas and TV presenter Will Best as part of the celebrity panel. The celebrities praised Liverpool’s talent pool, highlighting legends like Cilla Black, Paul O’Grady and the Beatles.
The first contestant, Saff, bet she could climb around the perimeter of a boat before crew members could winch a different boat into the dock. The experienced climber gave it her all and came out victorious with only a few seconds to spare, bagging herself £5,000.

Everton super fan Kevin Melling bet the celebrity panel he could correctly recall the score of any five Everton fixtures from 1990 to present day with only the date of the game and the opponent as a clue.
Everton legend Peter Reid picked numbered balls representing fixtures at random to see if Kevin was true to his word. The first match pulled was Chelsea V Everton on Sunday, March 8, 2020. Kevin said Chelsea won 4-0, which was correct.
Kevin was asked to answer five fixtures in total. The Everton super fan came out on top with a perfect score, earning himself the £5,000 cash prize.
Next up was a scooter skater Lucy who was tasked with popping balloons at Pier Head with a heel kick. Sadly, Lucy wasn’t able to fulfil her bet and was tonight’s first causality.

Another contestant bet she could eat Hula Hoops crisps from her fingers while keeping hula-hoop rings spinning in the air. Although she nearly dropped the hoops at one point, she managed to prove herself and win £5,000.
Musicians from St Helens‘ Valley Brass band were then tasked with hopping into a small car with all of their giant instruments, which they did with ease.
Cyclist Jake bet he could pull off his bike’s front wheel off, drive around several barrels and then reattach the wheel at the end. During his third and final attempt, Jake managed to fulfil his bet and prove the judges who doubted him wrong.

This year, the panel of celebrities feature a long list of star-studded names, including Holly Willoughby, Zoe Ball, Rob Beckett, Alex Brooker, Rylan Clark, Alesha Dixon, Alison Hammond, Babatunde Aléshé, Josie Gibson, Danny Jones, Eddie Kadi, Oti Mabuse, Nick Mohammed, AJ Odudu, Greg Rutherford, Adam and Ryan Thomas and Josh Widdicombe.
