The Princess of Wales has sent a good luck message to the Red Roses ahead of the Women’s Rugby World Cup.

And she clearly brought them luck as they lifted the trophy.

Catherine shared a snap of herself with Megan Jones, Ellie Kildunne and Jess Breach of the Red Roses, and sporting a Team England–themed cowboy hat, alongside her message: “Good luck England! 🌹🤠 Wishing the very best of luck to the @RedRosesRugby in their Women’s Rugby World Cup Final at Twickenham today. We’re so proud of you! C”

England Rugby replied to the photo, “Our patron” with the emojis of an England flag and a red rose.

The photo the Princess of Wales shared was taken earlier this month after she watched the Red Roses play against Australia in Brighton. She joined the team in the dressing room as well, giving them words of encouragement.

The Red Roses face off against the Canucks, the Canadian women’s rugby team, at Twickenham on Saturday afternoon.

King Charles, head of state of both countries, also shared a message in support of both teams. He wished both teams well, on behalf of himself and Queen Camilla, and added that it was a “remarkable achievement for both teams to have reached this pinnacle of the sport.”

He continued, “I know that supporters on both sides of the Atlantic will be cheering with equal and tremendous pride” and urged both teams to play with “the spirit of sportsmanship, determination and true grit” that makes rugby enjoyable.

“Whatever the result, you have already done your countries proud,” the King said, signing off as Charles R.
