Liam Delap is on Manchester United’s radar ahead of the summer transfer window.
After a turbulent season, lacking in goals from forward players, Manchester United are set for a busy transfer window.
Sunday was the same old story for the forwards as Manchester United lost 1-0 to Wolves at Old Trafford. To make matters worse, the Red Devils have only managed 38 goals in 33 Premier League games this season.
It is understood that Ineos want to clear out the squad of players deemed surplus to requirements, while at least four stars are expected to leave when their contracts expire.
Some of these players will need to be replaced, and we shouldn’t forget that Ruben Amorim has several areas in the team that he will want to strengthen ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
The priority position this summer needs to be a striker as United’s first team lacks a lethal goalscorer.

After an incredible season in the top-flight with Ipswich Town, scoring 12 goals in a side facing relegation back to the Championship, Liam Delap has emerged as a top target for Manchester United.
The Tractor Boys signed Delap from Manchester City for £20 million last year and he gone from strength to strength under Kieran McKenna.
The 6ft 1in centre-forward proved to be a handful when Ipswich faced United earlier this season, which did his reputation no harm because he’s unlikely to be playing Championship football unlike some of his Ipswich teammates.
Delap will be available for £30m thanks to a release clause that will be active once Ipswich are relegated.
Liam Delap is a better striker and player than what Rasmus Hojlund was when United got him and costs nearly half of the price.
Delap might not be better than Osimhen or Gyokeres currently, but let’s not act like he’s a bad player.

However, despite coming through City’s academy, Delap previously revealed that he is inspired by United legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
“I’ve always looked up to Cristiano Ronaldo,” Delap said, as quoted by The Sun. “Just the way he plays, the pace and the power.
“For me, he’s the best in the world so aspiring to someone who is the best in the world, your dreams just have to be high.
“Listening to people that he’s worked with, the extras and lengths that he goes to look after his body and get better every day just shows why he’s at the top level.
“You can have talent but talent on its own doesn’t work without effort.”
Juventus join race for Liam Delap
After an incredible season in the Premier League, on an individual note at least, Delap is likely to attract lots of attention this summer.
That attention will likely intensify once it is confirmed that Ipswich has been relegated from the Premier League.
The 22-year-old is expected to have Europe’s elite on alert, with United’s interest already well documented.
According to TuttoJuve, Juventus have now emerged as strong contenders to sign the English forward.
Juventus’ interest may force United’s hand into acting quickly once the transfer window opens this summer.
United want a player with Premier League experience, which may also explain why they are targeting Wolves star Matheus Cunha.
