A house was vandalised as swastikas were drawn on the home, including on the windows, in the middle of the afternoon. Merseyside Police said officers were called to a report of a man drawing swastikas on a house in the Argyle Street South area of Tranmere, Wirral, at around 1.05pm today, September 29.

Following enquiries, police arrested a 24-year-old man from Rock Ferry at 3.55pm on suspicion of racially aggravated criminal damage. Inspector Andrew Murphy said: “Swift police work from our Response and Local Policing teams on the Wirral identified the suspect and an arrest was made within hours of the report.

“Thanks to those members of the public who provided information.

“When such incidents happen, it is vital to contact police as soon as possible as in this case.

“Such incidents will never be tolerated so provide information and we will do the rest.”
