Leeds United remain buoyant after their first six games, drawing against Bournemouth last time out, and facing another big test against Tottenham this weekend.

This week, there ought to be more of a discussion in the mainstream about how well the promoted sides are doing at the start of this Premier League season.

For Leeds, they will know they should have three more points than they have, again pegged back in added time as Bournemouth equalised undeservedly.

All eyes on Tottenham clash as Leeds United look to continue encouraging form

The Whites’ next clash is another at Elland Road, and it’s another tough one against a form side in the division: Thomas Frank’s Tottenham.

Spurs, like the Cherries, have 11 points from their opening six games and have taken to life under new management fairly comfortably.

For Leeds, they will be optimistic based on their aggressive and largely dominant performances on home turf. Meanwhile, Daniel Farke is yet to taste defeat against Frank in five games, winning three and drawing two.

Tottenham set for positive injury update pre-Leeds United on striker duo

Leeds will be hoping that goalkeeper Lucas Perri and winger Willy Gnonto will be available after recent setbacks, but Spurs have eight players on the sidelines at the moment.

According to injury expert Ben Dinnery, three of those players could return when Spurs head to West Yorkshire on Saturday afternoon.

Previous Leeds target Ben Davies is expected to overcome a minor injury to return to the squad, while Dominic Solanke and Randal Kolo Muani are also slated by Dinnery for a return on October 4th against United.

Such a boost for Frank would give him £140million worth of striker talent to work with, as Spurs dished out £65million for the ex-Bournemouth striker, and PSG forked out £76million for the Frenchman before his North London loan.

Another big test for Leeds United as they prepare for Tottenham this week

There should be no fear from the Leeds squad going into this fixture. We’ve shown at Elland Road that we’re going to make games very competitive.

Bournemouth, Newcastle and Everton have all come to LS11 and left the game having been second best to Farke’s men.

Frank’s pragmatic style means it’s hard to predict what we’re going to come up against, but it’s another good test to see how competitive we are in this league.
