A ‘vibrant’ Stockport pub has reopened its doors following a significant investment and refurbishment.

The Carousel, located in Reddish and situated on Reddish Road is a Flaming Grill pub – part of pub company and brewer Greene King – and has officially welcomed guests back to experience the pub’s brand-new look and feel.

The Carousel’s new features include a transformed sports zone with additional dartboards and pool tables, as well as upgraded TV systems to enable sports fans to keep up with the latest matches live on Sky Sports and TNT Sports.

The pub’s interior has been fully redecorated to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with comfortable new furnishings to enhance guests’ dining experiences. The toilets have also been revamped, offering a sleek new look.

Catherine Dalton, general manager at The Carousel, said: “The Carousel is a much-loved pub in the heart of the local community in Reddish, and we’re delighted to be able to showcase our brand-new look and feel.

“We know that excitement has been building amongst the locals, and we can’t wait for visitors to make the most of our improved sports area and revamped outdoor dining space, as well as enjoy our fantastic selection of flame-grilled food and delicious drinks.

“With modern touches to compliment the pub’s traditional charm, we hope to offer a welcoming space for guests of all ages and provide a central hub for the community to come together.

In addition to the interior refurbishment, The Carousel’s garden has been renovated with cosy lighting, new signage and updated furniture, showcasing a modern outdoor space.

Following the official reopening which took place this past weekend, The Carousel has introduced an exciting line-up of entertainment for guests to enjoy too with weekly free pool sessions every Monday as well as poker evenings, general knowledge quizzes and thrilling karaoke nights.

The pub has also organised monthly Dine & Dance Afternoons from now until the end of the year, with tickets available for an afternoon of great food, live music and dancing.

Upcoming events include the Dolly Parton Dine & Dance Afternoon on 30 September, followed by a Rod Stewart-themed show on 21 October.

To celebrate the relaunch, The Carousel invited regulars and locals to cut the ribbon marking the pub’s official opening on September 26.

The Carousel also made a donation to The Molly Rose Foundation as part of its efforts to support local community initiatives.
