Supermarket giant Tesco NI has announced it’s added 31 new bakery lines from some of Northern Ireland’s most famous bakeries.
And it says customers already have a sweet tooth, with its cake category growing its share of sales by 11% in the last year.
New lines have been added to Tesco’s 50 or so supermarkets in NI from stalwarts like Irwin’s Bakery in Portadown, Genesis Bakery and Bertie’s Bakery in Magherafelt, Holmes Bakery in Craigavon, Graham’s Bakery in Dromore and Sunblest in Belfast.
Irwin’s is one of Tesco NI’s longest-established suppliers of baked goods, doing business with the supermarket for 28 years.
