Meghan Markle made a surprising tribute to one Royal Family member as she stepped out in New York yesterday. The Duchess of Sussex, 43, was accompanied by her husband Prince Harry at the Lincoln Centre, where she was a speaker at the Time100 Summit.
The Duchess wowed fans as she sported a wide-legged tan suit and a white shirt. However, it was one accessory which was perhaps the most significant part of her outfit. As well as wearing her own jewellery, Meghan also wore a ring that belonged to her late mother-in-law Diana, Princess of Wales, as reported by GB News.
Diana’s ring is believed to have been given to Meghan by Prince Harry, with the Duchess wearing it at the big event as a sweet tribute to his late mother.
At the event, which took place on Wednesday, Meghan was one of the famous key speakers invited on stage to talk about all things business.
During her chat on stage with Time’s Jessica Sibley about her latest podcast “Confessions of a Female Founder”, Meghan revealed that she was “happy and grateful” for her current lifestyle.
She said: “To have a husband and a partner who is so supportive and kids who are healthy and happy, I never imagined at this point I would feel so happy and grateful, and I really do.”
Meghan was not the only speaker at the event, with other speakers including Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general of the World Health Organization, US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, and co-CEO of Netflix Ted Sarandos.
Her appearance at the event comes just weeks after the launch of both her new brand As Ever, and her podcast Confessions of A Female Founder, which so far has had three episodes released.
The duchess also celebrated the release of her Netflix show “With Love, Meghan” just a month ago.
